I never knew what to buy my mother for her birthday or Christmas. She was a bit of a mountain woman. She lived in a cottage in the middle of nowhere and really only spoke with us on special occasions or when we went to visit. I loved her but we just had extremely different lifestyles. This year I decided that I would try to get in to her mind set as much as possible when I chose a gift for her. Her mind set brought me to look for wind chimes for sale. I knew that she loved the sound of them and we always had them around growing up but I realized that I had never seen one at her cottage. I started checking every store I went in to for wind chimes for sale. I was in a store one day when I found the perfect one. It was all wood and the main part at the top was a hummingbird on a flower. She loved hummingbirds and I knew that she would appreciate that it was entirely hand made and all natural. I paid less than what I would have paid for a metal one and had it wrapped up on the spot for me.
